Centre for Bioscience and Nanoscience Research is affiliated From June 2017 by Bharathiar University to conduct M.Phil and Ph.D (Full Time and Part Time) in Biotechnology and Microbiology.

This earmarks the widening of research priorities in the field of Microbiology and Biotechnology at CBNR. Besides, emphasizing new goals and novel insights in the above fields including Bio nanotechnology, Food Technology, Molecular Microbiology and Drug development. CBNR is set to prioritize the existing research objectives and to translate the benefits of research for the students and Society.
